Daixy on: Backing it up.......

Share it Please
The thing about making backup plans; Get a backup for your backup and then get a backup for the two you got before. Third time's the charm and all that.....

Life lesson from working for over a year; it's not enough to have two storage devices, nor is it to rely on one or two friends to show up in your hour of need.  Oh and the comic is for my benefit mostly.  I needed a good laugh ;)

  2. then you're one sorry F&$%(bleep!)and you're virtually screwed LOL. You'd better scramble to get stronger devices as your reserves before the original gives up. Like, would you ask a four year old to cover you while you ran into a burning building? I should hope not;)

I'm also assuming that you run periodic checks to ensure your back ups are still at 100%?

  3. This back-up issue na wa oo... I've been screwed twice so guess what I do now. I store my stuff on a laptop, a desktop computer and two pen drives. Will even be getting an external drive at the end of the month.

Heck! My friends even think that I'm paranoid but hey, once a computer fucks up your world, paranoia sorts of keeps u alert.

Oh! and Daixy, you are a crazy Ghanaian..:-) but crazy is fun...

  4. I don't think you're overly paranoid. with the viruses and other malware flying about, as well as the shoddy craftsmanship going into building these hard drives, I definitely see the need to be extra careful.

Don't pay no mind to your friends. They won't be crying with you when you lose months or years of important data. A little paranoia never killed anyone. Except for Mary Queen of Scotts; and she's not even the one that was paranoid!

Bless you luv. I can't believe I used to worry about being bonkers. Now though, I fully embrace my insanity. Like you said, crazy is fun....
